Commercial Sales RepCOMMERCIAL SALES REP - METALSMONTGOMERYThe Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling metal products (such as steel, aluminum, copper, or specialty alloys) to commercial and industrial customers. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers in construction Identify sales opportunities and generate leads through networking, cold calling, and market research Present and promote company metal products, including specifications, pricing, and availability Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and contracts Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules Coordinate with operations, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely order fulfillment Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and metal pricing fluctuations Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems Provide after-sales support and resolve customer issues Required Qualifications4 to 5+ years of sales experience (preferably in metals, industrial products, or construction materials) Strong understanding of metal products and industry applications is preferred Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to read technical drawings or specifications is a plus Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Key Skills & CompetenciesRelationship building and customer focus Technical sales aptitude Negotiation and closing skills Market awareness and analytical thinking Time management and organization Problem-solving and adaptability Working ConditionsCombination of office work and field sales (client visits, site visits) Travel may be required within assigned territory Fast-paced, target-driven environment Compensation & Benefits Base salary + commission/bonus structure Mileage Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan (e.g., 401k) Paid time off and holidays
