About the role
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Build and assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and enclosures Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings Install and wire components such as PLCs, VFDs, relays, breakers, power supplies, and terminal blocks Perform point-to-point wiring and labeling to industry standards Test panels for functionality, continuity, and compliance with specifications Troubleshoot wiring issues and make necessary corrections Maintain a clean and safe work area following safety procedures Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers Document work completed and report any issues or material shortages
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)2+ years of experience in electrical panel building or related electrical work Ability to read and understand electrical schematics Familiarity with industrial control components and wiring standards Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PLC systems and automation controls Knowledge of UL 508A standards (or similar)Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments• Electrical certification or apprenticeship experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods Lift up to 50 lbs Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
Work Environment:
Manufacturing or workshop setting May involve exposure to noise, dust, and electrical equipment
