About the role

Duties: Partner closely with UI/UX designers to build tooling that enables Android prototyping and development. Support cross-functional collaboration between design and engineering teams. Translate technical concepts and challenges into language understandable by designers, product managers, and other non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to scalable UI patterns and design system initiatives.
Requirements: 7-10+ years Android engineering experience. Lead-level capabilities desired.
Strong Android Development Experience:
  • Expert-level Android SDK knowledge.
  • Experience building Android UI solutions.
  • UI Framework Expertise
  • Must have experience with both: Jetpack Compose
  • Traditional XML-based Android ViewsDesign Systems Experience
  • Hands-on experience building, maintaining, or enabling design systems.
  • Experience creating tooling/platforms that support designers and engineers.
  • Familiarity alone is not sufficient.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Android animation expertise and best practices.
  • Strong UX/design mindset.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and agentic workflows.
  • Experience working in highly collaborative design-engineering environments.
  • Ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
