Role Description:
The Spa Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Santa Barbara, CA, responsible for overseeing daily spa operations and ensuring a seamless guest experience. This role manages spa staff scheduling, service delivery, and treatment room readiness, maintaining a calm and inviting environment at all times. The Spa Manager supervises guest bookings, driving retail sales, coordinates with the front desk and other resort departments, and addresses guest needs and feedback promptly and professionally. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring inventory and supplies, implementing spa policies and procedures, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The role also involves overseeing basic budgeting activities, supporting revenue goals, and collaborating with leadership to develop new spa offerings and promotions that align with the resort’s luxury brand.
Duties:
Collaborate closely with ownership and hotel senior leadership Supervise and manage spa staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery. Recruit, train, and develop team members to enhance their skills and promote a positive work environment. Oversee shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours. Drive retail sales by promoting spa products and services to clients effectively. Maintain inventory levels and manage ordering processes for retail products. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction with services received. Implement administrative procedures to streamline operations and enhance efficiency within the spa. Collaborate with other departments to create promotional events and packages that attract new clients. Implement and coordinate fitness and wellness programs Responsible for overall cleanliness of the spa and fitness facilities Strive to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction Developing and monitoring financial strategies to increase revenues while controlling operating expenses, monitoring annual budget and forecasts, reviewing monthly financial statements, utilizing yield management strategies Manages Salon & Spa controllable expenses such guest amenities, linen expense, professional salon products, and other supplies to achieve or exceed budgeted goals Skills Proven experience in supervising staff within a spa or similar environment. Strong sales skills with experience in retail sales preferred. Excellent management abilities, including shift management experience. Effective recruiting skills to build a strong team of professionals. Background in customer service with a focus on creating positive client experiences. Administrative skills that support the operational needs of the spa. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while fostering a positive workplace culture.
