About the role

Job Summary: Accountability Audits financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting and auditing standards. Performs compliance audits for institutions that participate in student financial aid programs. Develops an understanding of the risks associated with a company’s financial statements. Performs testing of audit areas to gain comfort with what is being reported and records adjustments as required. Applies knowledge and training from one engagement to another. Assists with the preparation of financial statements and related footnote disclosures. Communicates questions and issues to senior team members and management. Provides professional and responsive service to clients. Efficiently manages time and is proactive in seeking work and identifying areas where assistance is needed. Develops and maintains current knowledge of accounting, auditing standards, and industry requirements. Identifies opportunities to improve engagement efficiency and organizational processes. Takes initiative to seek additional work and responsibilities when assigned tasks are complete. Location The Staff Accountant – Audit position is a hybrid position headquartered in Bridgeville, PA.
Qualifications: RequiredB.S. in Accounting. Preferred Public accounting experience or CPA license a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Interest in developing technical accounting and auditing knowledge.
