About the role
- Education & Licensure:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active Connecticut license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; relevant master’s degree or leadership preparation a plus.
- Minimum of 35 years of hospice or palliative care nursing experience (home care or facility-based) required.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Familiarity with hospice regulatory requirements, clinical documentation, IDT processes, and interdisciplinary care.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills — able to develop and support a highperforming clinical team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities — able to work with patients, families, clinical staff, and leadership.
- Proven ability to manage complex clinical operations, prioritize multiple tasks, handle change and work in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong clinical judgment, problemsolving skills, and comfort with endoflife care and hospice philosophy.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and competency in electronic medical records and documentation systems.
- Commitment to maintaining clinical excellence, quality improvement, patientcentered care, and regulatory compliance.
