Customer Quality Engineer
Location: Oak Creek, WI – on-site - relocation assistance available
Salary: $90-120k plus bonus and extensive benefits package
About the Opportunity: Join a leading manufacturer of high-performance paints and coatings for the automotive industry. This is a customer-facing quality role responsible for resolving quality issues, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions, and acting as the key liaison between customers and internal manufacturing teams.
Key Requirements: • Automotive and coatings experience• Working knowledge of IATF 16949• Experience managing customer quality issues and complaints• Strong knowledge of 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone and root cause analysis• Experience with corrective and preventive actions• Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, LPA and customer-specific requirements• Experience supporting customer and third-party audits• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills• Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority Role & Responsibilities• Lead customer quality issues from containment through to closure• Manage customer complaints, RCA and corrective actions• Act as escalation point for critical quality concerns• Support and lead customer audits• Ensure compliance with IATF and customer requirements• Identify quality risks and drive preventive actions• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and commercial teams Why Join?
