Workday Compensation Analyst / Consultant
Location: Remote – candidates may reside anywhere in the U.S. except CA, NY, AK, or HI
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Hourly Rate: $65.00 W2; Benefits Eligible We are seeking an experienced Workday Compensation professional to support the configuration, administration, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation. This position requires hands-on Workday Compensation module experience. The ideal candidate can work directly with HR and business stakeholders, understand compensation requirements, recommend Workday best practices, and translate those requirements into effective system configurations.
What You'll Do: Configure, administer, and enhance Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation Serve as a Workday Compensation subject matter expert for HR and business stakeholders Provide consulting and best-practice recommendations for compensation-related requests Gather business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions Manage Workday configuration changes, enhancements, and prioritization Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis Provide solution options and effort estimates for enhancements and issues Perform data analysis, validation, and testing across HR systems and processes Support system stability, performance, and data integrity Partner with vendors and serve as a Designated Service Contact (DSC)Coordinate vendor resolutions and product enhancements Identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement Contribute to product feature prioritization and HR technology roadmaps Support system architecture and design discussions Manage small to medium initiatives independently and contribute to moderate-to-complex projects
What We're Looking For
Required: Strong hands-on experience with Workday Compensation Strong experience with Workday Advanced Compensation Experience configuring Workday or comparable HR applications Experience supporting and enhancing cloud-based HR technology Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into system solutions Experience consulting with HR and business stakeholders Experience troubleshooting complex application and configuration issues Experience managing system change requests and configuration priorities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines Experience managing moderate-to-complex projects Education / Experience Candidates should meet one of the following: Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of experience in HR, IT, or cloud-based solutions Technical certification and/or college coursework plus 6+ years of relevant experience 8+ years of relevant HR, IT, or cloud-based solutions experience Ideal Background We're particularly interested in candidates who have been responsible for Workday Compensation configuration and ongoing production support, rather than candidates whose Workday experience is limited to using the system as an HR or compensation end user.
