Gain Real-World Experience in Event Sales, Marketing & EventsVEGAs Event Group is looking for a motivated, creative, and outgoing Sales & Marketing Operations Intern who wants hands-on experience in marketing, sales, networking, client communication, and business operations.This is not an internship where you’ll spend six months watching from the sidelines.You’ll work directly with our team and gain practical experience helping market an established event production and entertainment company, supporting incoming sales opportunities, creating content, communicating with clients, attending networking events, and helping keep our sales and marketing operations organized.If you're studying marketing, business, communications, hospitality, event management, or a related field — and you want an internship where you can actually build your resume, portfolio, and professional network — we’d love to meet you.What You’ll Be DoingResponsibilities may include:Creating graphics, flyers, presentations, and marketing materials using CanvaAssisting with social media content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedInHelping develop event recaps, photos, videos, and promotional contentSupporting email marketing campaigns and promotional initiativesAssisting with basic website and marketing content updatesMonitoring incoming sales inquiries and helping coordinate follow-upSupporting initial client communication and sales correspondenceUpdating leads, contacts, opportunities, and information in our CRMResearching venues, event planners, companies, and potential business opportunitiesOrganizing company photos, videos, testimonials, presentations, and brand assetsAssisting with client guides, sales presentations, service information, and promotional materialsProviding general office and administrative support as neededAssisting with phone coverage and professional client communicationAttending local networking events, venue showcases, industry meetings, and company eventsRepresenting VEGAs Event Group professionally within the San Antonio events communityBecause we are an event company, you’ll also have opportunities to experience live events behind the scenes and learn how sales, marketing, production, entertainment, and client service work together.What We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate is:Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Marketing, Business, Communications, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related fieldCreative and comfortable using Canva or similar design platformsInterested in social media, sales, marketing, events, and business developmentComfortable speaking with clients, vendors, and industry professionalsProfessional and confident when meeting new peopleWilling to attend networking events and represent the companyOrganized and able to manage multiple projectsReliable and able to meet deadlinesComfortable learning new software and technologyAble to work independently while also collaborating with a teamWilling to learn, take initiative, and contribute ideasExperience with Canva, social media management, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, photography, video content, sales, or digital marketing is a plus, but not required.We are looking for someone with the right attitude, professionalism, communication skills, and willingness to learn.What You’ll GainThis internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience that can be used after graduation.You’ll gain exposure to:Social media marketingGraphic design and CanvaSales and lead managementCRM systemsClient communicationBusiness developmentEvent marketingProfessional networkingEmail marketingContent creationEvent industry operationsSmall-business growth and entrepreneurshipYou’ll also have opportunities to contribute to real marketing projects and build work that can be included in your professional portfolio.ScheduleThis is a part-time, six-month paid internship averaging approximately 20–25 hours per week.Some scheduling flexibility may be available around school commitments; however, candidates must be able to maintain consistent weekly availability.Occasional evening networking events, company events, venue showcases, or industry functions may be part of the internship experience.CompensationPay Range: $16.00–$18.00 per hourStarting compensation will be based on experience, skills, communication ability, and demonstrated qualifications.Candidates with relevant experience in areas such as Canva, social media, content creation, CRM systems, sales, marketing, or the events industry may qualify toward the higher end of the range.A 90-day performance review will be conducted to evaluate progress, performance, responsibilities, and overall contribution.
