About the role

Kenney Relic Sign Co. is a San Diego-based licensed contractor specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of custom illuminated and non-illuminated signs, as well as vehicle and architectural wraps. We are looking for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our growing sign company. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing production, sales, installation, customer service, and overall business performance. This position requires experience within the sign industry.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage daily operations across sales, estimating, production, installation, and administration. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, contractors, and business partners. Oversee project scheduling, production workflow, quality control, and on-time delivery. Monitor job costs, margins, budgets, and overall financial performance. Develop and implement processes that improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability. Hire, train, motivate, and manage employees while building a strong team culture. Ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and according to customer specifications. Work closely with sales and estimating teams to ensure accurate pricing and smooth project handoffs. Manage purchasing, inventory, equipment, and vendor relationships. Identify opportunities to grow revenue and expand the company's customer base. Resolve customer issues professionally and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and applicable regulations. Qualifications:·      3+ years of management experience within the sign industry.·      Strong understanding of sign manufacturing, fabrication, installation, permitting, and project management.·      Demonstrated ability to manage people, budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously.·      Strong financial and business-management skills.·      Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.·      Ability to make decisions, prioritize competing demands, and hold teams accountable.·      Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills.·      Proficiency with business, estimating, scheduling, and/or project-management software.·      A hands-on, results-driven leadership style. This job is a full-time, on-site position and expected hours will range from 40-60 depending upon scheduling and workload. This is a salaried position, ranging from $80,000-$90,000 annually, depending upon experience. Benefits are offered after 60 days, and include paid holidays, paid sick time, paid vacation time, employee participation is 401k, and health insurance.
