About the role
- Build and maintain platform capabilities, frameworks, and reusable components
- Find opportunities to simplify, automate, and accelerate platform development
- Shape the roadmap with your Platform Operator, and suggest better ways to solve the user's problem
- Ship features end to end, from understanding the user's problem to running in production
- Improve platform usability, maintainability, and developer experience
- Help turn successful applications into reusable platforms that support new jurisdictions and use cases
- Work directly with customers and subject matter experts, such as court clerks, attorneys, and judges, to understand their requirements
- Test, deploy, and support the platform features that you build, and take part in code reviews
- Senior-level experience in professional software development
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems thinking
- Full-stack experience, including web applications, APIs, SQL, and database schema design
- Product sense: caring about why something is built and how people use it, not only how it works
- Demonstrated experience with modern AI-assisted development tools
- Ability to work independently with strong ownership while collaborating effectively with teammates and stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, including with non-technical customers
- Pride in work that creates leverage and helps other people move faster
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a startup environment
- PreferredExperience with React, JavaScript, and the .NET ecosystem
- Experience in legal technology, court systems, or guided interview tools
