About the role
The Axel Group is seeking a qualified Project Manager to join our client's team based out of Seymour, CT ! This client offers great benefits, competitive salaries, and has countless residential and commercial projects in their pipeline.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall administrative and technical direction for construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with design specifications. Oversee total construction efforts, including interfacing with owner representatives, subcontractors, and lower management. Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities of company personnel assigned to projects. Develop work schedules, determine manpower levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements.Maintain official project logs and documentation files using Procore. Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendents. Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions, including scheduling, engineering, material control, and day-to-day direction of on-site administrative staff. Provide technical assistance and interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment as required.Ensure all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, and work rules. Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interests and maintain good relationships with owners. Represent the company in project meetings and perform additional assignments as directed by supervisors.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in project management within the construction industry. Strong organizational and systematic approach to work. Thorough knowledge of construction activities and related functions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain good relationships with the crew. Understanding of construction designs and plans.
