ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSell all trailers for which we are a dealerCall on prospective customers and assigned accounts. No defined territory.Assist San Antonio Sales Reps in their efforts to sell trailers, including but not limited to: calling on customers, customer needs assessment, proper spec'ing, deal sheets, and deliveries.Maintains contacts with customers in relation to their requirements; keep current on market and customer trends and document all activity in the companies CRM systemIdentifies and profiles prospective customers, then develops and applies strategy necessary to obtain orders, close potential ordersReports on competitive activityKeeps informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers that will assist in sales effortsCoordinates efforts with outside parts, service, and new and used heavy duty truck sales personnel to achieve full market penetration MARGINAL TASKSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The following qualifications are recommended: Hard Skills: Possess a valid CDL or the ability to get one in 60 days, at least 2yrs experience in truck sales or applicable experience, computer/telephone skills. Soft Skills: Verbal communication skills, Aggressive, Self-Motivated, Closing ability, Organized, Strong Time Management. POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation & ExperienceA minimum high school diploma with appropriate experience is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Must have a minimum 2 years retail sales experience. Preferably some heavy duty or medium duty truck experience. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Commitment to company core values. Language skillsGood oral and written communication skills
