About the role

Position Summary: The Customer Service Representative (CSR) team member is a vital point of contact between Byrd Tile, our customers, and our vendors. This position is responsible for supporting the sales team by communicating between customers and vendors to order material, assure timelines and logistical needs are met with accuracy, and to handle any potential issues that may arise with professionalism and service at the forefront. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, has strong communication skills, and can multitask with ease.

Primary Responsibilities:

Process sales orders for showroom designers and outside dealer network
Place purchase orders with vendors, and cross-check PO confirmations
Follow-up on potential delays, backorders, shortages, damages, and other issues
Track orders from the time they are placed until receipt of delivery
Provide customers with accurate ETAs and accommodate updates regarding order status
Resolve order related problems and communicate with all affected parties
Manage pricelists for outside dealer network
Coordinate with outside sales staff on ongoing projects and orders
Ensure order information and logistics are accurate
Provide customer assistance with receptionist when appropriate
Provide customers with professional and courteous service at all times
Any miscellaneous customer service duties critical to the success of the team

Demonstrates strength as a critical thinker and problem solver
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills
Proficient Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Google Docs, Sheets, etc.
Ability to learn industry products and players
Reliable, punctual, and a positive attitude

What Success Looks Like: A successful Customer Service Representative knows exactly what orders are coming in and out of the branch. All logistical details are notated with the appropriate parties, with all issues being dealt with in a proactive manner. A successful CSR position is able to support the fast pace of a sales team – allowing them to focus on selling rather than logistics. This person has taken the time to understand the sales and building cycles of the industry, and knows what logistical steps need to be taken to keeping orders on track for customers.

Salary and Benefits: Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with a 1-hour lunch break

Compensation: $25.00 / hour + bonus opportunities
