Job Summary: Prepares and portions food for patients. Follows safe food handling practices and maintains sanitary work area. Provides service to patients, staff and guests in cafeteria.
Key Responsibilities: Correctly and efficiently prepares and portions salads and desserts for patients, staff and others. Applies safe and sanitary food handling practices by following HACCP guidelines. Serves proper foods for all patients on regular or modified diets considering all population groups. Completes additional assignments as deemed necessary by supervisor. Keeps work area clean and sanitary; leaves work area clean at the end of the shift. Maintains salad bar and dessert area in cafeteria. Rings up purchases on the cash register and balances register at the end of each shift. Obeys safety rules and food waste by careful estimation of amounts to prepare. Completes tasks in a calm and organized manner.
