The opportunity: As an Assembly (Operations) Manager, you’ll lead the team that prepares food, supplies, and equipment for airline flights. You’ll keep work moving safely and on schedule, make sure each order matches customer requirements, and help employees do their best work. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving problems on the floor, developing people, and improving how an operation runs.
What We Offer: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage starting on Day One 401(k) with company match Paid time off and company holidays Tuition reimbursement Free meals during your shift On-site parking Career growth and advancement opportunities
What you’ll do: Lead daily assembly and packing operations so flights receive the right food, supplies, and equipment on time. Plan staffing and schedules around changing demand; manage productivity, overtime, and department spending. Coach, train, and develop employees, creating a team culture built on respect, accountability, and open communication. Keep inventory accurate and ensure company- and customer-owned items are handled with care. Oversee the sorting, wrapping, and packing of airline supplies, including dry goods, beverages, and equipment. Maintain a clean, safe workplace and ensure the team follows food-safety, sanitation, workplace-safety, and customer requirements. Resolve quality concerns, identify what went wrong, and put practical fixes in place. Partner with other departments and airline customers to adjust plans and keep service on track. Use performance results and team feedback to improve workflow, quality, and cost control.
What you’ll bring: 3–5 years of leadership experience in high-volume assembly, production, distribution, fulfillment, supply chain, or a similar operation. Experience planning labor and schedules, managing inventory, and delivering accurate work against tight deadlines. A track record of building strong teams, coaching employees, and improving performance during change. Sound judgment, clear communication, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service. Comfort using Microsoft Office and other workplace systems to track and report results. Experience working within safety, quality, or regulatory requirements. Food-service or airline-catering experience is welcome, but not required. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Why Sky Chefs You’ll join a team where people look out for one another, share ideas, and celebrate doing great work. You’ll have room to make decisions, develop future leaders, and grow your own career while supporting an operation that keeps travelers moving. Ready to lead a team that delivers at every altitude? Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
