We pride ourselves on executing rigorous environmental remediation and structural demolition projects with an uncompromising commitment to safety. We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Director to oversee our safety programs, protect our employees, and ensure total compliance across all project sites in Florida.
Role Overview: As the Safety Director, you will be the authority on site safety, regulatory compliance and hazard prevention. You will bridge the gap between field operations and strict federal and state safety regulations, heavily focusing on military and DOT construction environments. This role requires a hands-on leader who can seamlessly transition from drafting technical work plans in the office to conducting site audits in the field.
Key Responsibilities: Safety Documentation: Draft, review and implement site-specific Work Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs/AHSs) for complex demolition and abatement projects. Site Audits & Compliance: Conduct regular safety inspections across active jobs to ensure strict adherence to EM385-1-1, OSHA and company-specific standards. Hazard Management: Oversee and enforce safety protocols specific to hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead and mold.
Statewide Travel: Travel overnight as required to manage safety operations, cover project sites and support field teams throughout the state of Florida. Employee Training (Preferred): Leverage trainer certifications to run in-house safety course and officially certify employees in the remediation and demolition workplace as required.
Required Qualifications: Regulatory Expertise: Strong, demonstrable working knowledge of USACE EM385-1-1 standards.
Abatement Experience: Proven background overseeing safety for asbestos, lead and mold remediation.
Sector Experience: Experience working military installations, DOT and municipal construction projects. Technical Writing: Exceptional ability to author clear, compliant Work Plans and Hazard Analyses. Mobility: Valid driver's license and ability for occasional overnight travel across three Florida offices
Preferred Qualifications: Active Trainer Certifications as needed to officially certify CES personnel in remediation and demolitionASP and/or CSPBenefits & Compensation Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and any current licenses or certifications held. Benefits include participation in CES salaried health and insurance benefits in accordance with the Company's benefit plans. Eligibility in CES 401K plan following completion of one year of service. Company vehicle and fuel provided for business purposes. Paid time off to include ten days of vacation and six personal days in your first year of employment, prorated to your first year start date in the first year, in addition to the company Holiday schedule. You will also participate in the company bonus program.
