Required Qualifications and Experience: Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of California Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings, with strong understanding of student-centered therapy approaches Proficient interpersonal and collaborative communication skills to work effectively with teachers, staff, and families Ability to adapt intervention strategies to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
Key Responsibilities: Support implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) by delivering targeted occupational therapy services Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to foster students' academic and developmental growth Assist with evaluations and documentation, tracking progress and adapting plans based on students goals Educate staff and families on strategies and accommodations that benefit students participation and success within the classroom setting Maintain thorough and timely records while adhering to best practices in compliance and confidentiality Step into a school community eager to benefit from your expertise and compassion.
