About the role
Conducting extended qualitative fieldwork, the full-time Social Science Researcher will investigate the employment variations among migrant women across religious groups in South Asia, focusing on the South Asian diaspora in Texas, while working 100% remotely.
Key responsibilities:
Undertake qualitative research and conduct life history interviews over an 8-month period, followed by literature review and writing
Design interview protocols and recruitment strategies in consultation with the Principal Investigator
Transcribe, organize, synthesize, and interpret qualitative data, contributing to academic manuscripts and public-facing writing
Required qualifications:
Experience in qualitative research methods and fieldwork
Ability to independently recruit participants and conduct interviews
Strong organizational skills for managing project logistics and documentation
Familiarity with ethical standards and IRB compliance in research
Proficiency in data analysis and writing for academic and public audiences
