About the role

Job Description: NCW is hiring a CAD Designer to support the design and engineering of industrial equipment, including pumps, gear reducers, blowers, piping and skid systems. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining CAD models, drawings, inspection reports, bills of material, and related engineering documentation. The CAD Designer will also reverse engineer parts and assemblies using scanners and standard measuring tools, research equipment and component information, maintain engineering files, and assist with new design qualification. This role will work closely with the shop floor to provide updated drawings, models, and CNC programs and help improve existing engineering processes. Candidates should have 2-4 years of CAD design experience, be comfortable reading machine drawings, and have experience with Solid Works. Experience supporting a CAM/CNC shop or working with industrial equipment such as pumps, blowers, compressors, valves, or gearing is preferred. Experience with scanning equipment, PDM Vault, Global Shop ERP, and metrology tools is a plus.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
