Senior or Project Manager – General Contracting
Location: Dumfries, VA A growing General Contractor is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their team, supporting a range of federal and government construction projects across the East Coast. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in federal contracting who is comfortable managing complex projects and travelling to jobsites as required. Project sizes$500k to $50m - reno and ground up.
Responsibilities: Manage projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout. Coordinate with owners, subcontractors, consultants and internal project teams. Manage project schedules, budgets, costs, change orders and procurement. Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, risks and commercial issues. Conduct regular jobsite visits throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget. Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, government and project-specific requirements.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial/general contracting. Strong federal or government construction experience is required. Experience managing projects of varying sizes and complexity. Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts and change management. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability and willingness to travel to jobsites across the East Coast when required. Military, federal or government project experience is highly desirable.
