About the role
The Staff Psychiatrist is responsible for delivering mental health treatment to Tulane students. The individual in this role conducts psychiatric evaluations and provides clinical services. These may include medication management, crisis intervention, short-term individual therapy, group therapy and workshops, and outreach activities, along with collaborating with a multidisciplinary staff in maintaining a consistently high standard of care.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification: Psychiatrist Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC)Louisiana license, or license-eligible by date of hire Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license Louisiana Controlled and Dangerous Substance license Preferred Qualification: Prior experience providing services in a university counseling center Competency documenting services using an electronic medical records system About Us
