Coordinate external audits and support the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation. Workday Financial Systems Leverage Workday Financial Management to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close. Oversee the integrity and accuracy of financial data within Workday. Identify opportunities to improve system utilization, streamline accounting workflows, and enhance reporting capabilities. Partner with finance and technology teams to address system issues, improve processes, and support ongoing system enhancements. Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and system controls. Leadership & Process Improvement Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Review accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and standardize procedures. Partner with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support budgeting, financial analysis, and organizational planning. Provide guidance on technical accounting matters and recommend improvements to accounting policies and procedures. Communicate financial information and accounting issues clearly to leadership and non-finance stakeholders.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; advanced degree is a plus. Active CPA license required. Significant progressive accounting experience, including leadership or management responsibilities. Nonprofit accounting experience, including familiarity with fund accounting, restricted funds, grants, or contribution revenue. Hands-on experience with Workday Financial Management is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit requirements. Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve accounting processes, and manage competing priorities. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. If you’re an experienced non-profit accounting & finance professional, we’d love to connect.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
