About the role
This is NOT a job at Force Brands Senior Operations Manager – Food/CPGRemote | 40 Hours/Week | Contract-to-HireA growing, mission-driven food company is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to own day-to-day operations across its food product business. This person will serve as the key connector across manufacturers/co-packers, distributors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders while helping build the processes needed to scale. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong food/CPG operations experience who is comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Own relationships and day-to-day coordination with co-manufacturers, co-packers, distributors, suppliers, and vendors Manage manufacturer/distributor onboarding, production runs, product setup, and logistics Support new product commercialization, including costing, sourcing, research, and co-manufacturer identification Manage POs, invoicing, payments, contracts, and operational reporting Source and negotiate raw materials, pricing, and quantities as needed Oversee logistics across product storage, movement, and delivery Manage external consultants across R&D, commercialization, sales, and K-12 Build and maintain SOPs, tracking systems, and scalable operational processes Provide oversight across QA/QC and commercialization Support school district pricing, logistics, tastings, tradeshows, and sales opportunities
Candidate Profile:
Strong food/CPG operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or commercialization experienceK-12 foodservice experience required Hands-on experience working with co-manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and vendors Experience supporting new product launches from development through production and distribution Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple partners and workstreams Comfortable with costing, POs, logistics, contracts, and operational processes Experience building processes/SOPs in an early-stage or high-growth environment Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable operating with a high level of ownership
