Senior Account Executive – Private Label Apparel
Employment Type: Full-Time Location: New York, NY (3–4 days onsite)Seasoned Senior Account Executive needed to lead and grow key private-label business within the Missy category, including sweaters, knits, dresses, and wovens. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the President of Sales, with a focus on managing and expanding relationships with major retail partners such as Dillard’s, Target, and Costco. The ideal candidate brings deep private-label experience supporting mass, specialty, or department-store retailers, along with a background in a fast-paced apparel wholesaler.
Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day business across Missy sweaters, knits, dresses, and wovens. Develop sales strategies to grow volume, margin, and market share within assigned accounts. Partner with design, merchandising, and production teams to build retailer-specific assortments. Lead line presentations, seasonal buy meetings, and recap meetings with buyers. Analyze weekly sales, margin, and inventory data to identify risks and opportunities. Negotiate pricing, terms, programs, and exclusives that support financial objectives. Oversee development calendars and on-time execution from concept through delivery. Maintain strong relationships with buyers, planners, and merchant teams. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and retail performance. Provide forecasts, reporting, and business updates to senior leadership.
Qualifications: 7+ years of wholesale apparel sales experience, with a focus on private label. Strong track record managing and growing large retail accounts, including Macy’s, TJ Maxx, or similar retailers. Experience in the Missy category, including sweaters, knits, dresses, and wovens. Background within a fast-paced, design-driven apparel environment. Strong financial acumen across sales, margin, and inventory performance. Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple programs and timelines. Available to work onsite in New York 3–4 days per week and meet regularly with retail partners.
