About the role
- You'll be responsible for the operation of the station during your shift.
- You'll be making sure to follow all federal, state and company guidelines, policies and procedures during operation. Including but not limited to minimizing safety risks for all employees, customers and suppliers.
- You'll communicate verbally and in writing with various management on store operations in a very quick timeline, especially any changes or items that may adversely affect the store's operations.
- You'll manage the maintenance of the customer environment inside and around the perimeter of the store
- Promptly report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses
- What you need to bring to the table?
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must be able to perform basic calculations in order to make changes, complete shift reports, and account for a variety of products during vendor check-ins.
- You must have the ability to validate identification prior to selling products such as tobacco and/or alcohol (as per required regulations)
- You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and carry cases of milk cartons and soft drinks, beer and juice containers through proper lifting techniques
- Ability to remain calm and respond according to policies and procedures in any form of emergencies.
- You must be able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
- You must have the ability to work in various temperature environments (coolers, outside in various weather conditions, and in the store)
- You must be willing to perform general housekeeping duties as needed
- You must be willing to sit or stand for prolonged periods during your shift.
- Flexibility is key, whether it be the days or shifts you are available it is a key to our success.
