About the role

Mercor is partnering with a biotech and pharma research team on expert human-evaluation work - creating and critiquing rubrics that analyze commercial drugs and drug-development programs. We're seeking an epidemiologist for a paid pilot, with the potential to continue as the work scales.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and critique rubrics that analyze commercial drugs and drug-development programs
  • Size the patient population for a given drug or indication (prevalence, incidence, diagnosed → treated → addressable)
  • Judge whether a patient‑population estimate is sound and well‑sourced, and flag over- or under-counting
  • Apply this across the pilot's set of drugs and indications
Requirements:
  • US-based epidemiologist
  • Familiarity with biotech/pharma development programs
  • Experience turning real‑world data (claims, EHR, registries) into patient funnels 5+ years practising epidemiology (graduate degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health)
