About the role

Senior Account Executive AWS Department of War is seeking a Senior Account Executive to manage strategic relationships with U.S. Army tactical and expeditionary organizations, with primary focus on XVIII Airborne Corps and U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF). This role requires someone who can think strategically about how cloud computing, edge infrastructure, and AI/ML can directly impact the warfighter - from garrison planning environments to forward-deployed tactical operations. The ideal candidate will build executive-level relationships with senior military leaders, develop account strategies aligned to Army modernization priorities, and drive AWS adoption across complex mission environments spanning multiple geographic combatant commands. This position requires both CONUS and OCONUS travel to military installations in the United States and Europe. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. Key job responsibilities include serving as the primary Account Executive for U.S. Army tactical and expeditionary accounts, with dedicated focus on XVIII Airborne Corps, V Corps, and U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF). The candidate will build and maintain executive-level relationships with Generals, General Officers, senior G-staff (G3, G6), and civilian decision-makers across assigned accounts. They will develop and execute strategic account plans that position AWS cloud services to enhance warfighter readiness, lethality, and operational agility. The role also involves thinking strategically about how cloud computing, edge infrastructure, and AI/ML capabilities can transform Army operations in contested and austere environments. The candidate will drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities across commercial cloud, tactical edge, and emerging mission use cases. They will navigate complex DoW acquisition processes including OTAs, agile acquisition pathways, and coordination with the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA). The candidate will orchestrate cross-functional AWS teams to deliver integrated solutions aligned to Army modernization priorities and create new capabilities for the warfighter. They will translate operational requirements from the field into AWS product and service roadmap inputs, serving as the voice of the tactical customer internally. Coordination with defense industry partners to develop joint solutions that address Army modernization priorities is also part of the role.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
