About the role

Machine Shop Supervisor | Denver Metro | $99,000 – $125,000 Most supervisor openings are backfills. You inherit someone else's team, someone else's standards, and someone else's problems. This one isn't. We're a funded advanced manufacturing company building precision components for aerospace and energy systems. Our production facility is coming online now, and we're hiring the supervisor who will build the shift that runs it — hire the machinists, set the standards, and own how this shop operates from day one. You'd be walking into new equipment, a defined program with real backing, and a leadership team that expects you to make decisions rather than route them upward. What you build here is what this shop becomes. What you'd own: Building your team — hiring, onboarding, and holding the bar Daily execution: safety, quality, and schedule across every machine on your shift Handoff discipline, so the next supervisor always has the full picture The standards and culture of your shift
What we're looking for: CNC machining background with 2+ years in a true supervisory role Precision manufacturing — aerospace, defense, or industrial Experience standing up or growing a team, not just maintaining one Hands-on hiring experience with outcomes you can speak to Clean, direct communication — escalates with context, closes the loop Full benefits, equity, and flexible PTO. U.S. Person status required (ITAR).If you've built a team from nothing and it was the best work you've done, let's talk. Comment or DM me and I'll send details. Jane@Nexus Hires.com

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
