Job Description: Machine Operator Cranston, RI 02910MON-THUR6:00AM-4:00PM MON-THUR4:00PM-12AM Weekend Shift Friday-Sunday 06:00-18:00 Summary We are seeking aMachine Operatorto operate and maintain heat-treating and thermal processing equipment. This role converts customer orders into heat-treated finished products in line with work orders, quality standards, and production schedules.
Responsibilities: ·Load, operate, and unload heat-treating furnaces and related equipment per work orders ·Set up, rack, fixture, clean, and degrease parts for processing ·Verify and setprogram controls, time, and temperature settings ·Monitor utilities (gases, air pressure, oil, water flow) before and during operations ·Perform pre- and post-operational checks and basic preventive maintenance ·Troubleshoot and take corrective action during equipment malfunctions ·Maintain accurate records of work performed ·Ensure compliance withsafety and quality procedures, including PPE use ·Report any deviations in process, quality, or equipment performance
Qualifications: ·Experience operatingfurnaces or thermal processing equipmentpreferred ·Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting ·Ability to follow written procedures and maintain documentation ·Commitment to safe work practices and quality standards
