About the role
- Conduct system safety assessments (FHA, FMEA, FTA, CCA) across aircraft systems in accordance with ARP4761 with an emphasis on electric propulsion systems
- Establish, review and manage safety requirements Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, software, and hardware engineering teams to identify safety issues and provide inputs
- Participate in design reviews, providing safety input throughout the aircraft development lifecycle
- Maintain system safety artifacts and keep them updated with design and configuration changes
- RequiredBachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of industry experience
- Advanced engineering degree in the above fields (M.S. or Ph.D.) and 3+ years of professional experience
- DesiredExperience with electric motors and power electronics
