This newly created role will report directly to the Controller and be instrumental with implementing best practices and continuing to build the accounting team. *ONLY LOCAL PHOENIX, AZ AREA CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED* RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the full-cycle month-end close and consolidation process, which includes foreign subsidiaries and general ledger oversight. Performs technical accounting research, prepares memos, and leads the adoption of new accounting pronouncements to ensure GAAP compliance. Streamlines financial reporting systems and processes by proactively finding solutions, creating best practices, and developing financial policies and procedures. Analyzes and reconciles complex accounts, including intercompany transactions, and supports annual financial statement audits. Mentors and supervises accounting staff while handling various ad-hoc projects.
