About the role

SIGN PRODUCTION & GRAPHICS TECHNICIANAcme Sign Company is looking for a dependable, hands-on person to join our Art & Production Department. This is not just a graphic design position. We need someone who is comfortable working on the computer but also enjoys hands-on work and can take a sign from the artwork stage all the way through production.
Job duties include: Operating large-format printers, vinyl cutters, and other sign-production equipment Printing, laminating, trimming, and applying vinyl graphics Preparing artwork and files for print and production Weeding and masking vinyl lettering and graphics Applying vinyl to aluminum, ACM/Dibond, Coroplast, banners, vehicles, windows, and other substrates Assembling signs and installing graphics onto sign panels Producing banners, yard signs, decals, jobsite signs, and other printed products Mounting printed graphics to sign materials Keeping printers, equipment, and the production area clean and organized Checking finished work for quality and accuracy before it leaves the shop Working with the Art Department and shop employees to keep jobs moving through production
What we're looking for: Someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and willing to work with their hands. You should be comfortable learning equipment and not be afraid to measure, cut, assemble, and actually build things. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, large-format printing, vinyl application, or sign production is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person who is dependable, has good attention to detail, and wants to learn. This position requires someone who can work independently, follow instructions, stay organized, and take pride in producing quality work. This is a hands-on position — not a desk-only graphic design job. Please send resume to laura@acmesignllc.com

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
