This position is critical in providing high-quality care and support in the operating room environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough patient assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures.Assist in the surgical process by scrubbing and providing support to the surgical team.Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care before, during, and after surgery.Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition.QualificationsRegistered Nurse (RN) with a current and valid nursing license.BLS and ACLS certifications are required.Prior experience in trauma and neuro settings is mandatory.Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required.Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly Epic.Shifts and SchedulingBlock scheduling shifts of 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM, with night shift options available.Expected call requirements of approximately 120 hours per contract, rotating with staff.Weekend and holiday availability as needed.Call response time should be within 30 minutes.Orientation and TrainingClinicians must be present in the state for the entire week of orientation, even if the initial modules are offered remotely. Unit and department-specific orientation will be provided.Additional InformationFloating may be required only in extreme circumstances within designated zones.Scrubs will be provided as part of the uniform policy.The cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel up to four shifts for a 13-week assignment.This position provides an opportunity to work in a Trauma Level 2 care setting.If you are a motivated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse ready to take your career to the next level, we encourage you to apply.Thrive Staffing Job ID #19104355.
