Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices following all sanitation and process proceduresCommunicate requirement for corrective work to Planning in a formal, timely fashion, i.e. work order (WO)Conduct quarterly audits of the Trades people against the skills matrix and remedial action identified and applied to resolve shortfallsProvide inputs into Preventive Maintenance (PM) reviews and PM development activitiesResponsible for assigned activities related to the site's asset performance improvement objectives and guidelinesOversee the internal equipment rebuilds and review external rebuildsProvide input to the work prioritization process and manage emergency and break-in workProvide inputs into changes that affect the asset's bills of materials (BOM) and work with stores to optimize part/material levels.Own the weekly schedule, once it is published and adjust to accommodate emergency and break-in workProvide technical assistance as required for maintenance personnel in executing the workAssign work to work crews based on their competency, rather than on their availability.Other duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor of Science or Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology, or a combination of 5 to 10 years of progressive, manufacturing maintenance supervisory experienceBRC/Food transport and storage experience preferredThe ability to apply procedures and best practices to be implemented in a CMMS Reliability Maintenance ProgramSAP/ ECP knowledge and experience preferredStrong communication and computer application skills requiredTechnically proficient with MRO Inventory stores, industrial electricity, PLC, Motor ControlsWhat You Will Bring:Ability to work on your feet for 6-8 hours per day in both cold and warm environmentsDetail oriented and organized, able to prioritize multiple requestsExperience in developing and incorporating Predictive, Preventative and Proactive maintenance requirements for equipment asset systems within an industrial maintenance environmentKnowledge of OHSA Safety practices, standards and regulationsWhat We Have to Offer You:401K with company match (available after 6 months)Career development opportunitiesCompany Paid Life, Short and Long-Term Disability InsuranceCompetitive salaryEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Referral Bonus ProgramFlexible Spending AccountGenerous paid vacation and sick leaveHealth Insurance - medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage (available in first 30 days)Temperature controlled environmentAbout Us:We're a carbon neutral food company on a purposeful journey to Raise the Good in Food through better nutrition, safer food and workplaces, more humane animal care, and environmental sustainability efforts that protect our planet. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in Maple Leaf's annual short-term incentive plan.
