Patient Mix by Age: Birth through end of life / All ages Patient Volume: Varies Types of Cases: Primary eye care, including routine eye examinations, vision assessments, diagnosis and management of common ocular conditions, and appropriate referrals for specialty care Specialties and Staff on Site: OB/GYN (PT), Podiatrist (PT), Physician (FT), Orthodontia (Contract), Massage (FT), Nutritionist (FT), Behavioral Health (FT)
Requirements
Education: Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited School or College of Optometry
Licensure:
Active, unrestricted state license / any U.S. state license Accreditation: Graduate of a program accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE)
Life Support Certifications: BLS; ACLS if required by the facility
DEA:
Not typically required for Optometry unless specifically requested by the facility
Experience: Previous outpatient/primary eye care experience preferred
Patient Population: Must be comfortable providing optometric care to patients of all ages
