The position serves as a key point of contact for all matters related to information about or connection with the services provided. The position provides information and first-line problem resolution for prospective, new/returning, and current students. Duties include reception, scheduling events, project work, front-line departmental support via in-person, phone, and email, organization of electronic and print resources, and office records.Primary FunctionsProvide front desk reception, information, and first-line problem resolution for prospective, new/returning, and current students. Connect students with resources across the College in person, by e-mail, and by phone.Perform office management functions, including scheduling appointments and classroom presentations. Maintain up-to-date printed materials for the office to distribute to students and guests.Support the Directors of Advising and Transfer by handling processes related to room reservations, meeting set-ups, email requests, requisitions, appointment scheduling, event planning, budget records, staffing forms, duplication, as well as internal and external messaging.Support Transfer Services in preparation for events. That may include ordering materials, catering, and supplies.Secondary FunctionsServe as a point of contact for student workers working in the Center.Participate in College and team meetings as related to Academic and Student Affairs customer service and department operations.Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsAssociate degree preferred and 3 years of administrative support experience.Experience working in a customer service environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.Interpersonal and communication skills, including listening and explaining clearly, in person, by phone, and via email.Ability to evaluate the nature of student requests and propose solutions.Ability to multitask and prioritize in a complex environment with ongoing interruptions.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Hourly Range $21.8979 - $23.4308 (commensurate with experience)Bucks County Community College offers an exceptional benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, prescription plans, 403B pension plan, life insurance, short & long-term disability, generous paid time off, tuition waivers, tuition assistance, wellness center, cafeteria, and free parking on a beautiful Bucks County campus.Employment with the College will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with College's policies.Applications must consist of a letter of application addressing this specific position and the candidate's interest and qualifications for coming to Bucks County Community College, resume/CV, and professional references.
