Material Control Technician Join a team that plays a critical role in keeping manufacturing operations running smoothly and ensuring customer commitments are met on time. As a Material Control Technician, you will coordinate materials, production orders, and workflow across the Machine Shop, partnering with operators, supervisors, project managers, and purchasing teams to resolve material and routing challenges, maintain schedule adherence, and support efficient manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process inbound materials while maintaining accurate inventory records
- Label, store, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations
- Monitor inventory levels and support cycle count activities
- Maintain receiving documentation, discrepancy reports, and related records
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for production and customer orders
- Support shipping, packaging, and warehouse operations as needed
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve material, inventory, and logistics issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and department processes
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Office, and related applications.
- Ability to physically perform the job, including climbing, lifting, bending, kneeling, and other physical tasks
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted. Assistance must be used for items exceeding this weight, and is always required for items weighing more than 60 lbs.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment, with a willingness to motivate and support others
- Ability to adapt to changing workloads and priorities while meeting production schedules and maintaining quality standards
- PreferredMinimum one (1) year of experience in material handling, shipping and receiving, inventory control, distribution, or related warehouse operations.
- Minimum two (2) years of overall warehouse experience
- Experience with Microsoft products and ERP systems
- Strong understanding of basic/fundamental warehouse shipping and receiving procedures
