About the role

Associate Visual Designer — New YorkEarly-career opportunity for a visual designer with strong taste, curiosity, and a point of view. Work on digital products and experiences across banking, healthcare, retail, transportation, and other large-scale industries. Join a growing studio where you’ll have a real opportunity to help shape its creative culture and work.
What You’ll Do: Design screens, layouts, components, iconography, motion studies, and pitch materials. Work with typography, color, design systems, and visual direction. Contribute to both client products and new-business work. Take work from early concepts through production and launch. Collaborate closely with senior designers, creative leadership, and multidisciplinary teams. Use generative AI tools for exploration, ideation, and visual development. What You’ll GetDirect mentorship from experienced creative leaders and senior designers. Regular design critiques and hands-on feedback. The opportunity to work on real client projects from the start. Experience designing products that are built and launched at scale. A fast-learning environment where you can meaningfully grow your portfolio and craft. What We’re Looking For1–2 years of experience, or a recent graduate with a strong portfolio. Based in New York. Strong fundamentals in typography, spacing, color, composition, and visual design. A portfolio that demonstrates taste, craft, and a distinct point of view. Ability to explain your design decisions and articulate why something works. Interest in systems, flows, and digital experiences, not just individual screens. Curiosity beyond design—drawing inspiration from architecture, film, music, books, culture, and the world around you. A willingness to experiment with new tools and emerging technologies. Most importantly: strong work, curiosity, and a desire to get significantly better.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
