Description: American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and 2+ years of experience for a busy outpatient radiation oncology center. Details Outpatient radiation oncology setting Adult patient population Flex shift schedule, 5x8 hours between 5:30am-10pmNo weekend requirements No on-call requirements May float to a sister facility approximately 11.7 miles away Treatment includes external beam therapy, IMRT, SRS, and prophylactic treatments Treats conditions including benign brain tumors, prostate cancer, lymphomas, kidney cancer, and pancreatic cancer Uses TrueBeam treatment units Uses Varian ARIA/Vision record & verify systems
Requirements:
  • ARRT (T) certification requiredBLS certification (AHA) required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience requiredExperience with a busy facility workflow required
  • TrueBeam experience requiredExperience with CT simulation and treatment site simulation preferred
  • Experience with billing for treatment types and devices preferred
  • License required if applicable
Additional Information:
  • Responsibilities include pretreatment, beam modifying/positioning, and CBCT/kV/mV imaging
  • Follows isolation precautions/PPE and radiation safety protocols
  • Scrub color required: grey or steel
  • First-time travelers accepted with required experience
  • Accepts local candidates
  • Maximum 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with blackout periods around major holidays
  • No blocked scheduling requests permitted
  • Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
