About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for a growing organization. In this role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations while supporting key HR functions including employee relations, performance management, recruiting, training, and workforce development. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment and serve as a trusted partner to both leadership and employees.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and company policies, including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and wage and hour requirements. Manage employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes. Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts for both hourly and salaried employees. Administer performance management programs and support leadership with coaching and employee development initiatives. Manage HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates. Oversee benefits administration, leave management, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims. Maintain accurate HR records and ensure HRIS data integrity. Partner with operational leadership to support workforce planning and organizational initiatives. Coordinate training programs related to safety, compliance, leadership development, and employee engagement. Support audits and ensure adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, marine, construction, industrial, or shipyard environments. Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR compliance. Experience managing investigations, performance management, and policy administration. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
