Role Description:
The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy to clients across the lifespan in a compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with other providers and community resources as needed. The therapist will use evidence-based interventions to address a range of mental health concerns, facilitate psychoeducation and skills-building, and support clients in setting and achieving therapeutic goals. This is a contract role with a hybrid schedule, meaning the position is located in Mandeville, LA with a combination of in-person sessions at the collective and some work-from-home flexibility for telehealth services, documentation, and case collaboration. The role also involves participating in team meetings, consultations, and occasional community outreach or educational activities that align with the collective’s mission.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Skills in Treatment Planning, with the ability to create, implement, and regularly update individualized, goal-directed care plans. Experience in Family Therapy, including work with couples, families, and groups, and sensitivity to diverse family systems and cultures. Background in Social Work and Case Management, including coordination with community resources, advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Active, unrestricted license in Louisiana (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related behavioral health field. Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records and telehealth platforms. Commitment to holistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed practice, with cultural humility and an inclusive approach to care. Ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment, manage a caseload ethically, and maintain professional boundaries.
