Role Description:
The Physical Therapist Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Honolulu, HI. The individual will support licensed physical therapists by implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through prescribed exercises, and assisting with manual therapy and modalities as appropriate. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, documenting clinical notes accurately, preparing treatment areas, and reinforcing home exercise programs and safety instructions. The role involves communicating regularly with patients, therapists, and other team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care and adherence to clinic standards and regulatory requirements. The Physical Therapist Assistant will also contribute to maintaining a clean, organized environment and supporting clinic operations as needed.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Therapy support and Rehabilitation, including implementing treatment plans and assisting with therapeutic exercises. Candidates should possess skills in Patient Care and Quality Patient Care, with a focus on safety, empathy, and clear communication with a diverse patient population. Candidates should possess skills in Orthopedics, including familiarity with common musculoskeletal conditions and functional recovery principles. Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Hawaii. Ability to follow clinical protocols, document accurately in electronic or paper records, and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage a consistent patient schedule while maintaining professional boundaries. Basic computer proficiency and willingness to participate in continuing education and skills development relevant to physical therapy practice.
