Job Title: Operations Analyst Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84111 Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 day onsite in a week)
Client Industry: Banking/Finance Duration: 12 Months Contract Possibility for FTE Conversion Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM CST About the Role We are hiring a Operations Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the Fortune 10 companies in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities: Support pre-trade and post-trade operations, including account setup, maintenance, client onboarding, and KYC documentation activities. Coordinate with clients to collect required documentation, follow up on missing information, and ensure onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on time. Process and monitor equity and fixed-income trades, including trade confirmations, affirmations, matching, and settlements. Investigate and resolve unmatched trades, settlement breaks, exceptions, and reconciliation issues, coordinating with internal teams and external counterparties as needed. Manage daily operational queues, prioritize cases and exceptions, maintain accurate records, and ensure tasks are completed within established deadlines. Analyze transaction and account information using Excel and other operational tools to identify discrepancies and support resolution. Collaborate with internal business, operations, compliance, and client service teams to resolve issues and improve operational processes. Follow established procedures, controls, compliance requirements, and governance standards while handling sensitive client and financial information. Participate in structured on-the-job training and progressively take ownership of additional securities operations and client onboarding responsibilities.
What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, filtering, sorting, lookups, and reconciliation. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, counterparties, and internal teams. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process large volumes of operational data and transactions. Ability to manage daily queues, exceptions, competing priorities, and time-sensitive operational activities. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and clearly communicate issues. Understanding of compliance, governance, and operational controls within a financial services environment. Ability to learn new financial products, processes, systems, and procedures quickly.
Compensation Hourly Rate: $20 - $23 per hour This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
