Job Description
Overview: As a Material Handler, also known as a Returnable Plastic Container (RPC) Sorter, you’ll get to hand sort a container weighing about 10 ounces that issued to ship produce, eggs, meat, and other goods onto pallets for manufacturers. This is a vital role for our sites to ensure we maintain a high level of efficiency and accuracy of performance!
Hourly Pay: $17.00/hrShift(s):Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pmLocation:8230 Plummer St Bldg 3, Suite 200 Houston, TX 77029
Responsibilities:
  • Hand stack RPC’s on pallets to appropriate height, following inventory control instructions
  • Examine products for quality standards
  • Ensure all trash and debris is removed prior to returning to customer
  • Wrap sorted pallets and secure for shipment
  • Move pallets, or materials on pallets or in crates, around the storage facility
  • Accurately complete all paperwork to track daily progress
  • Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager regularly
Qualifications:
  • High school degree or GED required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills needed
  • Ability to work overtime when needed
