About the role

2nd Shift Truss AssemblerA Truss Assembler is responsible for constructing roof and floor trusses using pre-cut lumber and metal connector plates. This role involves working with blueprints, operating machinery, and ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: Assemble wood trusses according to design specifications and blueprints Measure, cut, and position lumber accurately Use hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment (e.g., saws, nail guns, presses)Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures Work as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines
Required Skills & Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or construction drawings Experience with hand and power tools preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Physical ability to lift heavy materials (5075 lbs), stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks Basic math and measuring skills Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or manufacturing Familiarity with truss assembly equipment and processes Forklift certification (a plus)
