(During the week-long academy, compensation will be at minimum wage.)Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time Off (PTO)/Holidays Paid at time and a half if workedOpportunity for overtimeWe are a drug free workplace.Responsibilities/Duties:Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidentsConduct regular patrolsMonitor activitiesSurveillanceAccess ControlSafety escortsUsing provided communication devicesRepresent SSNW's brandProperly wear the issued uniformComplete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)Complete Incident ReportsWork with local law enforcement, and emergency servicesProvide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.Other duties as described in the Post OrdersRequired Skills/Abilities:Must have a valid driver's licenseMust have a clean criminal record and driving record2-4 years of combined experience (Military, Law Enforcement, and/or Security) preferredSmart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting.Must have Graveyard/ Weekend availabilityReliable transportationHonesty and IntegrityAble to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidaysMust hold a Washington State Unarmed Security Guard LicenseAbility to react appropriately in high stress situationsEducation and Experience:Security Officer Experience - 1 yearHigh School Diploma or EquivalentPrior Public Safety and/or Military experience preferredTWIC card requiredKnowledge of security protocols, and equipmentPhysical Requirements:Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrolsAble to stand 8-12 hours a dayMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)SSNW is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of applicant and employee information.Security Services Northwest is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
