About the role

Lowenstein Sandler, a leading national law firm, is seeking a Manager of Lateral Recruiting to help advance the firm’s lateral hiring strategy across Associate, Counsel, and Patent Agent talent. This role will play a central part in strengthening key practice areas, supporting strategic growth, and delivering a thoughtful, high-touch recruiting experience. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Manager will partner closely with practice and firm leaders to develop a best-in-class lateral recruiting framework, strengthen the firm’s market presence, and ensure a seamless process from initial outreach through integration. The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder who brings sound recruiting judgment, market awareness, and a genuine interest in connecting top legal talent with the right opportunity. The role in action: Advance the firm’s lateral recruiting strategy by identifying, engaging, and recruiting exceptional legal talent across strategic practice areas. Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, candidate assessment, interview coordination, offer support, onboarding, and integration. Build trusted relationships with partners, practice group leaders, internal stakeholders, and search firm partners to support hiring goals, anticipate talent needs, and deliver proactive recruiting solutions. Develop recruiting programs, processes, and best practices, including alumni engagement initiatives, talent integration strategies, and data-informed recruiting metrics. Utilize data, AI, technology, and market intelligence to assess recruiting effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and support informed decision-making. Provide additional support to management in certain aspects of lateral partner recruiting and integration, including coordination, materials, communications, onboarding, and transition planning, to ensure continuity of service and an exceptional candidate experience. We are seeking candidates who: Bring 5+ years of progressive recruiting experience within a law firm, legal recruiting organization, or professional services environment, with a strong focus on attorney recruiting. Hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Demonstrate strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, leverage data and technology, and deliver an exceptional recruiting experience while operating with independence and initiative.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
