About the role

We are working with a US leader in plastics design, extrusion, and fabrication. They are looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in the packaging manufacturing industry to grow new business and manage key accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tenacious, self-motivated sales professional to join a growing team and help build the next phase of the company's expansion into new markets.5+ years of business to business sales or business development experience preferred; will consider less experienced candidates with the right drive and personality Experience in pharmaceutical, retail/distribution, or related packaging/engineered solutions markets a plus Engineering or technical background a plus, especially for candidates with strong customer facing experience Comfortable balancing new business development with managing and growing existing accounts Self motivated and able to work independently in a remote, low oversight environment Strong follow up and prospecting skills, with the ability to prioritize the highest value opportunities Willingness to travel approximately 20 to 25%, including customer visits and periodic trips to a company facility in the Midwest Remote role (must reside in the Eastern US, ideally in the Southeast or Mid Atlantic/Northeast region)
