Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records within the ERP system, operating forklifts, and completing shipping documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
Prepare, package, and load outgoing customer orders.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the facility.
Process shipping and receiving transactions using the company ERP system.
Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed.
Create, review, and organize shipping documents, packing slips, bills of lading, and other paperwork.
Coordinate with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure timely shipments.
Verify quantities and product specifications before shipment.
Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.
Qualifications:
Previous shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
Experience operating forklifts; forklift certification is a plus.
Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Basic computer skills, including data entry and email communication.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment and machinery.
